Description

What could be cuter than a teddy bear, right? How about a teddy bear toting machine-gun? If you are into stuffed animals and automatic weapons, we have a small, embroidered patch you are going to love. Say hello to the Cute Bear Machine Gun Patch.

Teddy bears and guns are not normally mentioned in the same sentence. Heck, you probably wouldn't be inclined to speak about them in the same paragraph. But pushing the envelope is something we do all the time here at The Cheap Place. Why stop now?

What we have here is a 3 x 3-inch embroidered patch with the customary die-cut border and plastic backing with iron-on glue. The glue works very well with denim and cotton, though not so well with other fabrics. A household iron or commercial heat press will firmly affix the patch to a denim jacket or vest.

If you're looking at leather or nylon, you are better off avoiding irons and heat presses. Sew the patch on with needle and thread. The narrower the needle, the easier the sewing job. That is something to keep in mind.

As for where to apply the Cute Bear Machine Gun Patch, the choice is entirely yours. We normally suggest articles of clothing like jackets, vests, shirts, pants, and hats. But you could literally mount this patch anywhere you like.

If you're a gun owner and you have fabric cases for your long guns, bingo! Computer users who carry their laptops around in soft sided bags have plenty of open material to work with. And of course, anyone who owns a backpack or shoulder bag has space for this patch.

As far as embroidered biker patches go, few are as simultaneously cute and menacing as this one. It is a patch you absolutely need to add to your collection.

Tips for Ironing on Patch: Plug in iron. Crank it to highest setting. Place iron on top of your garment with a frying pan thermometer sandwiched between iron and garment to start the preheating process. Once temperature reaches 280 Degrees Fahrenheit unplug your iron. Temperature will continue to rise and then start to decline. Once it declines to 280 Degrees Fahrenheit, Slide the iron, place your patch and press the iron on top of your patch as hard as you can for 30 seconds without moving the iron around. Do not mess with the patch until it has completely cooled down. A household iron will not work as good as a heat press. Do not iron on patches to Leather or Nylon.
