The Benchmade 5270BK has a black finished 440C blade (plain, Serrated). The drop point blade featured ambidextrous thumb-studs. The handles are textured Noryl GTX (tough and lightweight!) over a steel frame. The 5270 line has the AXIS lock system which makes the knife easier (and faster) to open and close.
